Re: h23/vtec conversion?

stick with the h series motor. the b16 is a good motor, but not in a prelude. what's your budget like and how fast do you want to be?

btw, i moved this from the car comparisons forum.

It would be difficult to do without a turbocharger, I can say that much. I'd also like to see how it goes.

Re: h23/vtec conversion?

Do u really think its that out of reach, goin all NA cus i dunno there have been b16's all NA that have gotten there, i never said it was easy, but some strong cams and pistons and the h22 head on the h23 block will make a great combination... the h23 non-vtec blocks got a lot more torque then the h22 block, and ill get that high end from the vtec head, so with just that... i wouldnt be surprised if i ran high 13s

Sorry, what car are running, in a civic, you can pull 12.9 to 12.6 with slicks Type S pistions, cams and tranny (also aftermarket axles) and slicks, (stock H22 with clutch, shaved flywheel, axles and slicks can and will run 12.9 all day long) also head blots on and you do not need a external oil line (I just built one)
