Preference in exhaust
Hey guys, i'm now lookin to just put a cat-back system on my car.... don't have the time to do the custom job i wanted. But anyway, i'm lookin at either the Corsa system or the one from B&B. Just wondering what you guys thought and what you use and so on. I'm goin for performance ofcousre and most hp increase, but noise is a huge factor, it has to be LOUD!

Re: Preference in exhaust
well, if you want loud, and have a fourth or third gen camaro, i would suggest the chambered exhaust from GMMG inc. its a cat back using stock hanging locations, stock routing, but instead of a muffler, it uses two pinched tube resonators that are stock replacements for 1969 camaros. sweetest sounding fourth gen exhaust i have EVER heard. bar none. only problem, have to sell a kidney to get it. 700 bucks for the system, 150 for the oval cut tips. for a more affordable system. i reccomend a flowmaster 3in american thunder system. uses the 80 series muffler (loudest flowmaster makes) and you can get it with twin polished stainless steel ehaust tips. only set me back 350 bucks. i also have a dynomax system, very good tone, but not very loud.

you just gotta be carefull with those cat back systems. The cheap ones sound like shit. I know a guy that had a muffler shop put a cheap turbo muffler on his 97 Z28, and it sounds like a beefed up ricer.

Re: Preference in exhaust
Get an SLP loudmouth exhaust. I've gotten a buddy of mine with a Corsa exhaust to switch to a Loudmouth on his TA because he liked the sound of my SS so much

Re: Preference in exhaust
perhaps the SLP homepage???? dont know for sure, but would make sense. i know flowmaster has sound clips for all of its mufflers. edelbrock has sound clips for headers and mufflers. didnt look at alot of other companies.

Re: Preference in exhaust
I've got a few videos that my friends have taken of my car, but I'd have to sent them through the email because they're on my apartment computer back at home. Let me know if and where I should send them to. They're not the greatest, but if price is a limitation on getting something like the Corsa or the GMMG, the Loudmouth is your choice. I might have gotten either of the others, but I couldn't justify spending $600-700 on one of them when the Loudmouth sounds so good...
