Hello all,
My car is 96Holden Barina. It recently got a problem. The reverse lamp would not light on when I switch into reverse gear. I've checked the electrical circuit. The bulb is definitely okay and it seems the fuse (#18) is okay too. Anyone got this experience and would tell me how to get it fixed? Thanks very much for your advice. :0) |

Hey Katie3873,
Check your reverse lamp switch on the shifter mechanism, although I've never worked on a Barina this is a problem that I've encountered on other makes.Look for loose or adrift wiring, failing that it could be a simple adjustment issue. |

Re: Holden Question
Thanks stagger lee. It seems not easy to find the reverse lamp switch. Does the job cost a lot of $$$ if I ask a dealer to get it done?

I wouldn't imagine it would cost to much, maybe an hours labour plus parts if required.Over here you'd be looking at around the $80 to $100aus from a dealership probably less if you found a sympathetic and trustworthy independant workshop.
Stick with a dealership though if your unsure of the mechanical workshops in your area. |
