things change, and thats they way it is.

the general mood about the 2004 gto is this forum is that it is ruining a legacy. 1. why would pontiac make a muscle car if muscle cars arent in style? 2. the pre-mid seventies gto's had high horsepower for 1 reason. at that time leaded fuel was used. 3. ricers are mostly teenagers. 99% of teenagers will not be able to afford this car. dont worry about it being riced.

1. Muscle cars are still popular and no one is asking them to make a 60's GTO all over again.
2. So you can't make a car with lots of HP anymore? There are thousands of vehicles out there with horsepower and torque numbers that were unthinkable back then.
3. There wil be a number of new GTOs that get riced out no matter what the price is, and it is our, muscle car fans, duty to worry about that happening.

And maybe you are getting comments misunderstood. Not many people think the new GTO ruins the legacy. I think it just doesn't add to it what it should. Get your facts straight before you start a thread like this.
