Hey guys!
How do you remove your stereo from the dash? I took off the four screws that are hidden behind the ashtray, but now what? Pictures would REALLy be appreciated!!! I am just removing my XE stereo and replacing it with the SE 6 changer stereo.

Cool Got it!

Xcanuck hooked me up with instructions from Crutchfield! I know ChuckH hates them but hey, I got it in and out without destroying anything!

Crutchfield has a good fitment database, instructions, and some knowledgeable people. My beef with them is that they only carry mainstream products at premium prices. Even our more expensive locals such as Magnolia Hi-Fi and Innovative Audio (Best in the State for car stereo installation) usually have the same or better prices than Crutchfield. Regardless, I'm glad you go the stereo put in.

Cool SE 6 CD changer

I got the stereo from someone who only used it for a week! It is so nice to load it up with 6 CD's and go! Gonna be great for the trip to GOX!

Mr. Claus, remind me to show you the Garmin Legend GPS I have when i come up on the 15th. I am thinking after the first of the year of going with the Garmin GPS III+ that some of our members have. Mine is great for hiking, but I want something with a bigger screen. So I'd offer you mine at a great discount...........he he!

adding more toys

Hey all,

After reading the flame on CheechmanSoAndSo I am not sure if I want to post this .. but oh well.

I was wondering if anyone has any information on more intense installs and howtos. I haven't done anything with Crutchfield before but they seem like an option.

I have a pile of stereo equipment (now outdated - about 4 years old) that I had in my 00' Mustang. It was back when I was just out of school with my first job and nothing to spend my money on

Anyway, That car is gone over 2 years now and I have all the stuff sitting in a box. I have been debating selling it.. but I thought it might be fun to slowing incorporate some of it into my truck (xterra 02 XE s/c 4x4)

I guess I was just wondering if there is anywhere with details on installing an amp, the sub box (stealth possibly), and removing the rockford amp or whatever is in there.

I saw the pics for the deck removal, and front speaker install (thanks) but I was wondering about the amp (under seat or elsewhere etc).

I actually have way to much stuff to put in (don't want to go overboard again..) but I do want to use what I can.

I currently have a full Phoenix Gold system (2x2500 amps, 1x4600amp, 4.1 processor, 2x1Far Caps, fuse panel, 2x6-1/4 components, 2x5-1/2 components, premier deck, 215ix eq/crossover, 2x12-Xmax subs etc)

Anyway... yah yah.. flame away..

I just want to play around with the stuff but I could really use some How tos.

Also! that touch screen jukebox thing sounds cool... Any info on how to get that installed?

Cheers
