rodeo 2000 turn signal problem

Everytime I use my left turn signal with my headlights off, my whole dash flashes with the blinker. If I use the left turn signal with the headlights on the turn signal stays solid. I have replaced both bulbs and this has not helped the problem. The right turn signal has no issues. But when you turn on the hazards both, right or left do not work. My car is just out of the 50,000 mile warranty and I am afraid to take it to the dealer to fix, due the the horrible service I have received and the amount of time it takes them to fix things on my car, let along the cost it will take to find the problem. Any sugestions will help.

Re: rodeo 2000 turn signal problem

Maybe replace the flasher relay?

Also, if I heard problems like this with folks who have a trailer hitch harness plugged in. If you have one, unplug it and see what happens.

Could be the combo switch for the stalk. A few years back, we had the same issue with a totally car (1997 buick century). The combo switch alone was almost $300, a tool needed to get the column apart was $150 (mechanic bought that), total bill was $450 at a trusted independant mechanic. Gotta love those GM/delphi electronics- which our rodeo's are FULL of!!!
G/luck
