So last saturday night I was at my sisters house and myself and a few friends were going to head to a club before we go out we usually have a few drinks before we leave then we taka a taxi to the club so we're just sitting around talking and having a good time and I over hear this guy talking about getting his car dynoed and so I go and listen a bit and he was bragging quite a bit so I asked him wat kind of car he had and he said he had an 01 non-VTEC civic so I asked him what he had done to it and he said that he right now all he had done were some suspension upgrades but that he had just gotten a in a bunch of parts such as a new hondata computer a set of NGK spark plugs new plug wires CAI a header and he was going to do a full exhaust so I asked him what kind of 1/4 he was looking for and he said that as soon as all the parts that I listed above were on his car he would be running about 12 seconds, before I laughed at him I figured that I should ask him if he planned on turboing the car and he said no and that turboes aren't good for engines so I asked if he had done anything else to his car and he said no, he didn't seem happy when I laughed at him and explained that at this elevation that a new Z06 vette can't even run a 12 sec 1/4 and that hs car stock at that elevation runs about 17sec, he disagreed so I told him that I would be willing to bet him that in the summer when the track opens again that he wouldn't even pull a 15.5 the guy was unwilling to bet me it was fun humiliating that idiot he had no idea what he was talking about he kept going of about how light his car was it was stupid.

Yep, typical ricer stupidity. Although ricers usually argue more; must have been a nice ricer. Just out of curiosity, did you overhear any bs about what the civic dynoed at?

I have talked to some Stang and Camaro guys that were just as stupid. It does seem to be most abundant on the import side, but it is not entirely exclusive.

You guys have seen the clip of the Stang owner talking about his GTR Stang. Having a turbo with long tube headers.

If you run across them (the dumb ones) try to educated them. If they are too stupid to listen, just walk away.

It's not the cars, it's the drivers. I saw that GTR vid and that was some funny shit... He said it's a special edition GTR, turbo/header.. lol. About that Civic, if he pulls a 16.5 I'd be surprised. i/h/e on a Civic frees up like 10hp if that. I've been to some hangouts and have met my share of absolute morons... sucks that most of them drive Hondas.

yea, i agree, i've heard some dumb stuff from all walks of life about cars.

But we gotta know when someone makes a mistake and is a ricer. lets say little jimmy seems to think that he can fit a 460 in his little geo metro. well i can safly say half of all the real car people out there would call him a ricer laugh at him and walk away, with out ever letting him say anthing in his defence. Am i right?

Hey I know someine who is putting a stage I turbo buick in a metro. it's caged and converted to RWD...... Personally I think that it's suicide but hey to each their own.....

I didn't hear what it actually dynoed at I was at the other side of the room but as soon as i heard the word dyno my ears perked up and that's when i went over, he was saying that he was hoping it would dyno 160 on his next run after his mods were put on.

The newer Civics struggle to get triple digits to the wheels, stock. He really thinks letting the engine breath a little better will give him 60 more whp? What a fag.. I bet he'll say the dyno is busted or they did it wrong when he sees ~112whp. That's what I put down with my non-vtec sohc with i/h/e and an ACT clutch, before my swap...
