Exclamation 96 gc ltd Memory system

Alrite.. i have a 1996 grand cherokee Limited.. I can set my mirrors and seats to a poistion and set it to a number on the memory system... it will work fine for like a day.. then some how.. all my positions for both mirrors and the seat changes and the mirrors will just go crazy and point down and the seat will sometimes just go all the way up... and it will keep doing that until i set the orignal position again and it will be fine for awhile. Another thing it will do when it goes crazy is... when u press the memory number repeatley the seat will just keep moving to random locations... Does ne one have ne ideas on whats goin on with my jeep? or how to fix the problem.. thanks

P.S. I also put a stock cd/tape/radio player from a 97 grand cherokee limited in my 96 if that may have ne effect on it

Ditto with my 98 LTD 5.9. It's really irritating. I sure hope it can be fixed without getting the dealer involved!

96 gc ltd Memory system

Ok, i was researching our problem some.. and i read in a few places.. that the cause of the mirrors goin crazy is because of the contacts in the mirrors.. what happens is.. everytime we unlock the doors or hit the memory settings.. it searchs for the orignal positions and if the contacts are dirty and not sending a signal at that second.. the mirrors just starts to move to find the poistion.. so it just goes to random spots and gives up... that is basically the reason y... now the cure for this.. is to take apart the mirrors and clean the contacts within.. i dunno how big of a project this is to do.. but i know its goin to take a little time.. if i feelin up to do it.. ill let u guys know how easy it is and if it fixs the problem
