How much would you pay for this Alfa?

My neighbour is selling his Alfa Romeo 164. It's 1986, black, 6sp manual, mint condition. It has 175hp @ 5250 RPM. The engine has 151,000 miles on it. How much would you offer him?

150 000 miles ! oh, that's a lot ! I would pay 1 500 € (US$2 000), but it's maybe more in North America because it's rare...
Your neighbour could wait untill 2007 and the return of Alfa there and sell it versus a new Alfa, the 166 is awesome

2007 is a very long way off- I would't wait that long.

I would put it's value at about US$3000- talking to the moderator Heep on this board he is a fellow Canadian looking for a 164 V6 as well- he'd be a lot more help

I'm not actually sure of the year honestly, I estimated. It's in very good condition.

Re: How much would you pay for this Alfa?

Livin' in Milano, Italy, and knowin' the Alfa 164 as one of the worst models in the Alfa Romeo history, I would never take it....not even for free!!! Sorry guys, but I think Alfa died when Fiat bought it, back in the late seventies!!

Goose : I don't agree at all. Ok, when Fiat bought Alfa, there was a problem with the cars, but the Alfa were good cars though; Especially since 1998 : Alfa are excellents.
