Progress: WRX STi light mod

This is my first attempt at doing any modifications, so go easy on me

It has a Revell ITR front lip. I might put a splitter on it, haven't decided.

This mod was unintentional. When rinsing off the hood scoop that came with the kit, I accidentally dropped it and it went down the sink. Oops. So this WRC Scooby was a willing donor of his hood scoop. The scoop wasn't a direct replacement, so I just took part of the hood to make it easier.

I also stole the wing from the WRC car and made custom pedestals for the STi.

I'll hopefully get a lot more done this weekend, being that I get Monday off from school. Any suggestions and constructive criticisms will be well received.

Re: Progress: WRX STi light mod

I would suggest cutting the original WRX lip open and smoothing the transition into the ITR lip for a big mouth look. looks good, sorry to hear about the drain, I've had that happen too.

So far it looks fantastic,i would definately add the front splitter, that rear wing will be spot on as well. I never really like the standard wing that came with this kit. keep up the good work!!

Here's a quicky p-hop. I dig it. Lets just see if I can do it. An intercooler would look nice chillin in there.

Re: Progress: WRX STi light mod

Looks pretty good so far. Sorry to hear about the part going down the drain. Stuff happens though. Looks like you have a good solution to your problem though.
Do you have any idea what color your going to paint it yet? Keep us posted.

Finally started playing with epoxy putty. It's alot easier to work with than standard putty, cause of the longer setting time. Even when it dried, it was a little rubbery. Put the WRC hood scoop in place too. I'll shoot some primer tomorrow if it's not raining so I can fix the flaws

Black and grey interior with some Prodrive seats and Takata harnesses.

Wish I woulda spent more time on the interior. Don't feel like fixing it so I'll just run with it! Carbon decals on the seats are old, before I found the miracles of Micro Sol.

So it the weather's good I'll paint the wheels and maybe cage up the interior.

Your mods are cool so far. I'm sure the finished product will be well worth it.

You should've removed the pipes from underneath your sink! The part could've still been there... I suppose it's too late now.

Well, the front is looking good!

Hahaha, I actually thought about it for a second. But I needed to improve my puttying skills anyway, so what the heck.
