Turn Off Maint. Req. light on 2001 Accord
Hey everyone,
I'm a girl and ever since I bought my Accord, I've been doing the oil changes by myself. However, I can't seem to find a way to turn the "Maintenance Required" light off on my dash and it's buggin' the heck out of me. When I try to take it to the dealership, I get the "honey, just take it into the mechanic and they'll take care of it for ya' " attitude and it's making me sick to my stomach. I was wondering if anyone out there has any idea on how to fix this problem. BTW, I also have the dealer installed alarm system if that helps anything. Thanks, K |

Can't you take your car key to the dash and push the little pusg-thingie in? That will reset the maintainence light. But, if it is on, that means your car needs some sort of maintainence check your owner's manual for any overdue preventative maintainence and/or with your dealer.

Hold it for about 10 seconds and then start the car while still holding the reset button. I think that's the way I did it last time, but if you want to be sure, check in your owners manual and you should find it. |
