Smile 1995 neon sohc question????

Okay when I turn my car off it makes a knocking sound from the engine, and also the car is a manual trans, when I go to shift the gears the car is still at a high idle then it will slowly idle down. someone please tellme what is wrong thinks

Sounds like the return spring on your throttle body is getting weak. I don't know how much of a pain they are to replace. I have never had to do it.
