? new engine

I have a 2000 Odyssey EX that is getting way, way up there in terms of mileage. My engine is still running strong, but periodically it gives me notice that it is an old engine.

So, when it goes, sooner or later, I intend to replace it. I understand, perhaps incorrectly, that it has a 6 Cylinder J35A engine.

Straight Replacement?
Buy from whom?
What is the Price?
Alternative engines?
When it dies, bury it where it sits?
Sell it quick before it dies and let someone else worry about it?

Suggestions please......

[note: cross posted to the JDM engine forum too......]
