what should i get installed in my car. the thrasher cold air induction kit or the fenderwall intake with the k and n from pfyc.com..... i have a grand prix gt 2000,,, with 54000 miles on it. this would be my 1st mod on my car... i herd that the thrasher is more for the gtp's..... what system would give me more power.... i allready sent in the check to pfyc so its gona be 1 of those 2 intakes.... thanks a lot....

I doubt you'll see any difference between the 2.
The fenderwell is going to give you the coldest air possible. You can make one cheaper then the one on PFYC PM qball - he might have a few intakes left Here is another nice FWI http://www.cheetahonline.com/k3022.html |

Just did a study on intakes....might be worth the read....there are pros and cons of a fenderwell most the cons are just now being discovered... |

I tought that because the screen would take care of air turbulence having it off would affect flow but was on the contrary. And based on the information presented the Chetahh instead of helping you could really restrict the flow into the TB. Interesting . . . |

Yeah very intresting..........so the CAI is the way to go..............wow and I wanted a FWI to, thats worse then the ghetto intake I have now. Thanks for that link.

ok i've seen the results from that artical on zzp and ive seen all the different air boxes and what not, and when i seen what the hell these guys were charging for some PVC and a boot i thought i'd make my own i went to a local performance shop picked up a reactive air filter for 35 bucks went to Home Depot bought 7 dollars of 4 inch Pvc and 2 $4.50 4 inch rubber boots then went home to build it.. i relocated my PCM just behind the coolent bottle overflow, vertically, then drilled out a 1/2 inch whole in 1 boot then sliped it onto the Throttlebody tightend it down measured out how much PVC i'd need about a foot and a half sliped the other boot onto the other end slid the filter inside tightend the to belt like things on them(sorry don't know what there called) placed the filter into the triangle like hole were that thin plastic piece with the hole was then attached the tube into the boot on the TB tightend them up put the senser into the 1/2 hole and i was set took about 45 mins cost 16 bucks plus drive to home depot results a much improved breathing Devise thats loud as fuck.
PS: i don't advise removing the screen in my car (98 GT) it set the SES light off and had no noticable affect |

What I would you If I were you is instead of having the PVC be 3' long and the filter on the triangle shaped intake fender hole to have just 4" of PVC and have the filter there. The shorter the PVC the more CFM's you will get. And what was the code your car got when you removed the screen? |
