What does type R mean...
I want to know what Type R means besides being better. Also what do turbos and superchargers do besides make a car faster.
Thanks PL |

as long as this is a serious question... i'll reply...
type r is a designation, just like you can get a mustang gt... integras come in ls, gs, rs, gs-r and type r models... the type r is the racing spec version, or the highest end version that is designed to hit the track. that is what most honda type r cars are... ford uses the same r designation on the mustang cobra r, losing the type, but it is basically the baddest version you can buy... the r basically stands for racing. on the second question, turbos and s/c's force more air into the motor... more compression(boost) means more power... turbos are driven by exhaust gas, which is "free" power, while a s/c is engine driven via a belt or gear. there are different types of each, with their own dis- and ad- vantages... |
