Re: Trunk rattling

How good condition is the weatherstrip? Also, is you're tag causing some of the rattle? I use rubber foam behind my tag. It warps the tag a small bit.(not noticable) But, it forces the tag to hold snugly and not make a sound.

Re: Trunk rattling

Put DynaMat on the top of your trunk. Its kind of expensive but i have it im my car and it really does the trick. Also check to make sure your lisence plate is screwed on good enough, that could also cause rattling.

Stinger "DynoMat"

And, if you cannot afford DynoMat, the Stinger company makes a good dampening material, worked in the sameway as DynoMat.

go to the junkyard find a car with some decent carpeting and get a nice piece and shape it to your trunk lid. Drill a few holes on the outer edge so you can pop in some of those plastic clips to support the carpet. After i did mine.. i get absolutely no rattle and i have a huge speaker enclosure with 2 10's back there...
