Proof that having a new car isn't always great?
I posted this over in the RX-8 forums:
I just got off the phone with my sister who has had her RX-8 now for about 4 months. She says the oil on her dipstick is white in color, almost like mayonnaise . I told her not to worry, that it's probably just condensation as we have had some extreme cold weather here recently. The temps have been in the teens. I did tell her to take it to the dealer tomorrow and have them check it as I've personally never seen water in the oil on any of my cars. I read this thread and just about shit a brick! WTF is going on with these cars? She's only got about 5,000 miles on it and has already had the oil changed at the dealer, which btw is free as you all know because Mazda mistated the horsepower ratings a bit . Is this a "normal" problem for this car? Does this sound like condensation or something worse to you guys? |
