Spoon exaust...is it as good as everyone says

My friends keep telling me that the exaust i should get is the spoon exaust. They said it gives like 25 hp but its like a g to get it. Is it a cat back system and is it dual you get when you buy it or is it just a single. I have been looking up exaust and all the magizines and websites say the apexi n1 is the best and dont even mention the spoon exaust. Last thing if you know or have an opinion on what is the best exaust to add to a 99 acura integra gsr that will soon have a turbo please give me your 2 cents.

it single and cat-back or not it depends on what car u have. cuz my friend had the spoon rear section on his 92 Civic H/B and it sounded like shit. but it made his lil D15 motor quick along wit H/I

so to get a single catback its $1,000. Holy shit. Did it sound like shit cuz it was loud or was it the pitch of the sound. Cuz my car is loud as hell.

All I can say is that whoever told you it gives 25 hp must be hallucinating or on drugs. No exhaust will give you 25 hp, period. It would be something if it can give you 2.5 hp--roughly 10% of what that person told you. I am not sure if it is available on the Spoon website. You might want to check it out and see if they're still selling it.

I'd get a Mugen twinloop exhaust personally. A friend of mine has it on his '98 EX coupe, and that is one fine exhaust! Sounds very similar to my A'PEXi WS, but a little quieter at WOT, where my World Sport system can tend to scream at during higher RPMs. Also the Mugen just looks cool too, and is designed for power gains, though not as much as the Spoon exhaust I'm sure. If your Teg is a DC2 or older, I dunno if they make one that will fit, or if the one made for EG/EK/EJ's would universal fit to Tegs as well... Also note that the Mugen exhaust is about $500 for rear section ONLY! The entire cat-back is about $1k as well. Pricey, but it's quality, it's JDM and it's damn nice!

Obviously a catback with the slightly larger diameter will be good since you're going to turbo. I would say the N1 is good. Its also a bit cheaper than the others.

Re: Spoon exaust...is it as good as everyone says

the apexi n1 catback i can get for 400 the spoon and mugan i can get for 850 but if the spoon and mugan dont kick the shit out of the n1 ill go to the n1 cuz i want dual exaust and i dont want to spend 1700 on friggin exaust. Id rather spend some of it on beer and condoms for awhile....and maybe just anything else for my car.

Just so you know, dual exhaust on a Honda (or ANY I4 motor for that matter) will seriously kill and compremise it's performance. Obviously that won't matter on a show car, but otherwise you're wasting away the cost of the 2nd exhaust system.

Look at his sig, do you actually think he cares about performance? He's a stunna, the slower the car he has the better.

As far as mufflers go, theres no diff in performance what so ever when it comes to hondas. All our "mufflers" are, are a pipe with holes inside of it to make a differant sound. Its the midpipe that makes or breaks an exhaust system.

If you go turbo, go apex or greddy, if you go n/a go muggen or spoon, I have a spoon and ear plugs are manditory for daily driving...
