Improve Gas Milage ??

I have a 2003 Silverado ,5.3. I am getting approx. 15-16 mpg. Is there anything I can do to get better milage ?? Everything on the truck is stock. ( no big tires, lift kit etc.)

Re: Improve Gas Milage ??

Try a bed cover for highway travel - should cut down on wind resistance. If you want to spend a little more, a high-performance intake and some exhaust modifications should help as well.

I think the best thing that i also could think of is the bed cover and exhaust. Also if you want to bost your gas miledge by quit a bit you should purchase either a K&N or Volant Air Intake system. Personally i have goten all 3 of those items. The biggest diffrence has been the intake system. I have the K&N one but Volant is even better. But if you want better gas miledge you should look into purchasing these 3 items..
