Hey Guys!!
I have a few issues with my car that I think are electrical. Can someone please help me? 1. When I turn off the car and open the driver's side door, the lights don't come on and the stereo won't turn off. The only way to get the stereo to turn off is to open the passenger door (which turns off the stereo as it should). 2. The passenger window just decided to stop working. It worked about a week ago and its not the motor because when it did work it worked very well. 3. Its either the fuel pump or the auto level compressors that keep firing and making a loud noise. It happens when I turn the car on and when the car is turned off. Can I disable it and will it be safe? PLEASE HELP! |

Power window help
I can hopefully help with your power window problem. The same thing happened in my 97 Aurora on the back passenger side window. It could be the wiring that goes from the controls in the driver's door into the car. The constant opening/closing of the driver's door eventually wore down some of the wires, and that's what caused mine to fail. You can even try opening your front driver's door halfway and see if the passenger window works, that's what happened with mine because when the door was half open it was making a good connection again, so I could get the window back up.
Hope that helps with one of your problems!

When I first purchased my 97 Aurora my passenger window didnt work. I removed the drivers side master control and began checking with a ohm and continuity meter to see if that was what was wrong. The drivers master control checked out ok and the master control was receiving power. I cleaned all the connections and plugged it back in and it worked like band new. Im not 100% sure what the problem was, Im guessing it wasnt getting a good conection on one of the pins, but it has worked just fine for 6 months now.
