intake question

anybody know if the pontiac ram air setup would crossover into my '97 Z28? i just like that setup better then say the HKsport setup. i mean it's nice and i like it but i kinda like the pontiac ramair better. the only thing im wondering is how that type of hood would look on a camaro. any knowledge or advice/input would be great, just kinda an idea im kickin around in my head. thanks.

Re: intake question

Yes, it would fit, but you'd have to get the "camaro" version of the hood. Many manufacturers of hoods make them to fit both styles of f-body. I'm not sure if you are talking about the WS6 style hood with the two scoops, or the one on the LT1 firehawks, but both can be bought for camaros, and they can be bought as a functional package. Generally speaking though, you have to buy the whole air box assembly too, since it is totally different than the stock air box on a 97 Z...

okay Hot Red, what hood is that? cause that's pretty much what i was thinking of. the only question on it i have is how is the intake set up under the hood... cause my ultimate goal was to keep away from having the air box on top of the block like the HKsport, i was wanting to put it up front like the WS6 package.

Re: intake question

that is how this hood would be set up... The air box assembly will be located wherever the scoop is. On this type of hood, it'll be in the front, on the SS style scoops it's farther up on the engine...

just a second, I'll try to find you a site that is selling this one... and the air box assembly...
