time to go low
Ok I guess I'm giving in, even though I said I would never lower my car, I will be lowering it this weekend. It just looks way better lowered, I will be using the GR-2 struts and HKS springs combo. Anyhow, any advice on the install process and am I suppose to cut some bump stops or something like that?

You might want to seriously consider KYB AGX shocks instead of the GR2s. The GR2s are a stock-type shock which will probably fail quickly with aftermarket springs. If the GR2s don't fail your car should have a much worse ride and handling than stock because the shocks weren't designed for the extra force the HKS springs will put on them.
Unfortunately there is not a really cheap way to drop a G20 and keep it's good handling and ride Don |

donno about the GR2 thing, but i would recommend raising both ends when you do the front put the car on jack stands too. the stabilizer bar gets into the way when you only lift one side.
otherwise the install is a breeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze.

Correct me if I am wrong:
I read and have been told by many that the KYB AGX's give a pretty stiff ride even on the sofest setting, my goal here is to keep my ride quality as close to stock comfort level as possible. The GR2's struts are a little stiffer than the stock struts; I believe that if I use these struts in conjunction with the HKS lowering springs it will yield me the best combo for what I am persuing. I will cut about an inch off the bumpstops and I hope it will give the GR2's enough travel. I will post before and after pics when I am done. Thanks for the advise y'all |
