About H22

i heard u have to take out power steering and your AC for the engine to fit? is this true? i need to know for a friend

Doesnt the 93 prelude come with an H22 or an H23? or am I misunderstanding the question?

yeah people will tell you that you do need to take out ac and pwr steering if you put the h22 in a civic but even that isnt entirely true...heres some monumental advice: DO RESEARCH!!!

I'm pretty sure the prelude comes with both engines. It has 3 different options I think. What you could try, is maybe putting the DOHC VTEC head of the H22 onto the H23. Look into that.

160 Hp
160 lb.-ft.
Si Vtec: H22A1
190 Hp
160 lb-ft
97-01:
Both Models: H22A4
195 Hp
160 lb-ft

yeah the h22 head will fit with the h23 block. been done many times with alot of success.

that info helps him, cuz he wanted that too, but he still doesnt know if he has to take out the AC and power steering?
