headlights toooo bright-advice please to this mom
Hey everyone!
New 2003 Xterra. The headlights are just to bright! I constantly have a fight at night with others on the road. There is only a slight difference between normal and bright. Its pretty bad when the 18 wheelers are blinding me back on the highway. Any advice as to what I can do about this? I got it the last of Oct. with 60 mi. on it at the dealer. Is this a new thing on these newer vehicles, is it only on the foreigner cars, or what??? Seriously, these headlights are plum ridiculous!! Any help would be appreciated. kcee |

The problem isn't brightness, it's aim. Take it to the dealer and ask them to lower the beam a bit and your problem should go away. Unfortunately, the U.S. has really retarded laws about lights and they are actually mostly to blame for the light being pushed upwards into oncoming drivers instead of low onto the road. Anyway, lowering them will almost certainly solve your problem.
