RX-7 FD vs. 300ZX TT vs. 3kGT VR4 vs. WRX

So, if we stuck all of these cars on a track, bone stock, who do you think would come out on top and why?

Who would be stronger and were? ie. top speed, cornering and such.

Then take these cars on a drag strip, how would they stack up?

On a road course I'd have to give it to the 3rd Gen RX-7...0.97 g's stock...pssshhhhhttt...and it's lightweight...blows the competition out of the water if this were a straight up handling course.

Acceleration wise...it'd be a close battle between the 300ZX TT and the RX-7 w/the RX-7 nudging out the win w/it's 0-60 of 5.1 vs the 0-60 of the Z at 5.2 but the Z passing it in the quarter mile w/it's 13.8 vs the RX-7's 13.9 seconds (trap speeds: Z 103.9 mph vs the RX-7's 99.7 mph)

Braking wise the RX-7 takes it at 110 from 60...it's just easier to stop a lighter car.

Cool, thanks for the opinion I thought the RX-7 would come out on top on the track, but I wasn't sure about the strip.

Gots to stick up for my big brothers!

3000GT VR4 has best 0-60 out of the cars here, doesn't it?

95+ VR4 with 6-speed Getrag and 320hp, all stock: 0-60 in 4.6 sec,
I think it traps @ low 14 or high 13, ~105 mph.

Correct me if I'm wrong . . .

The Spyder traps in the high 13s but the 94+ VR4 are in the low to mid 13s . In fact the best bone stock time I've ever seen was a 13.08? wich was about as a perfect a run as you can get.

well i've seen it many times on best motoring and lets say even the j spec STi WRX has no chance. that car usually ranks last. the rx-7 would be second last, then followed by the nsx. the top two are almost always the gt-r and the evolution. but since the competition up there are failed to exist in japan now. i'd say the FD-3S. if the GTO was soooo great the evo would not have killed it off the market. and the Z got out paced by the GT-R. i got this video when the GT-R first debuted. they did a track battle. and by the time the race was over. it was a 5 lap race. the skyline was all by itself. the next closest car was the Z and that was 2 corners behind. and it murdered the other cars by atleast 5 seconds!!!

Yes, but we aren't just talking acceleration here. We are talking about handling as well. Depending on the year I would say that goes to the MR2. Though the Fairlady, VR4, and WRX can tear up the drag strip the Fairlady handles like a beast I hear, the 3000GT is prone to have problems with the AWS, and the WRX doesn't have a great top end. My vote goes to either the RX7 or MR2.

VR4...blah

I dont think that a VR4 could pull 4.6 in the 60 mph dash...much less a 13.0...I mean that's just a tick off from being a 12 second pass...that's just BS...

That is incorrect. The lowest bone stock quarter can be seen here. http://joeg.mi3si.org/102701_MI3S_Ga...r_Dragway.html

Polygon - I've not known anyone whos had any problems with the AWS. Its usually the synchros in the transmission that are the weak link.
