k..well before the motor on my prelude was broken in, the vtec would kick in at 5600 rpm. and since i passed around 4500 miles, it started turning on at the normal 5200 rpm. the weird thing is, it changed back to 5600 a couple of weeks ago. i kind of enjoyed the 5200 vtec kick and im wondering why it abandoned me... any ideas?

Double check your oil level first.
Then check your throttle cable. Tighten it such that there is just a little bit of slack when the car is warm. VTEC activation mainly depends on oil pressure, RPM, and throttle position. It must be fully floored to kick in at 5200.
