Need help with 93 GC security system

The factory security system in my 93 GC never sets. The Security light never comes on and the courtesy lights don't come on when you use the remote to unlock. They don't remain on after you open the door and go off as soon as you close the door.
The remote locks/unlocks the doors. I have checked the relays under the glovebox panel and they all work. I have tested the door latch lock switches and they seem to work fine. What should I check next.? Also, I cant find the hood switch for the security system. I did find a single wire with a plug located on the passengers side below a hole that looks like it would accept a pin switch. Does the hood switch just ground out to the body or should I look for a multi wire plug. Also what color is the wire for the hood switch?Any one able to help.

re"alarm won't set

First, did alarm ever work? Check ECM(engine control module) on pass side firewall. 93 w/alarm should be 56027811.
If both check out, go back to relay center in "false" bottom of glove box.
facing glove box, the top left realy is "VTSS" relay.
To the left of that is "VTSS" Module(vehicle theft security system)
The module is NOT in the relay center. It stands alone to the left of the relay center. Sounds like this may be your problem since nothing works and you don't see "security" led light up. The "security" also won't light up till you have 20 engine cranks after disconnecting battery.
If still don't work, e-mail me [email protected] . I have the factory book on the alarm system.

Personally I wouldn't want to use that alarm. They can be pretty nasty to mess with. Plus, most do not have any other sensors other than opening a door. So, if you break a window and climb in, you can do what ever you want and the alarm will not arm.
