Hey guys, attempting to put the compass & thermometer into my Avenger do any of you happen to have or are able to get a wiring diagram for the compass on a 95 LHS?

Re: Compass Wiring Diagram???

If the mirror's from a 95 LHS, it only has compass. No temperature. The display is universal and can display temperature, but was not availible in the 95 LHS. If you get a mirror from a mid to late 90's GM vehicle, the temperature is availible. Check the buttons on the mirror to see if temperature is used. Auto/Comp = Dimming mirror & Compass. Comp/Temp = Dimming mirror, Compass & Temperature. These mirrors usually all used a 7-pin connector. A GM mirror will fit on your car.

1-ignition (closest to the mounting stem)
2-ground
3-reverse inhibit (12V supplied when vehicle is in reverse to override the dimming feature) not need for aftermarket hook up
4-outside mirror dimming power
5-outside mirror dimming power
6-temperature probe
7-temperatuer probe

Re: Compass Wiring Diagram???

I'm assuming you are retrofitting a mirror. It's the easiest way to get the features you're talking about. I don't have any info on an overhead counsel or in-dash parts.
