Please I Need Help With Turbo Info

what parts do i need to modify or add to my engine when adding a turbo? I have a b18c vtech that has a compression ration of 9:1. I have been told 2 things with a turbo i can run it at up to 10:1 and ive been told i need to lower it as low as 7:1 i am now confused. I am new to cars but i know the basics. I have added a bunch of things to my car but am going to stop because i was told they are pretty much useless when adding a turbo, like headers, downpipe, intake etc. Please dont use initials for names spell it out cuz im trying to learn. I have skunk2 camgears, greddy intake manifold, spitfire ignition wires and spark plugs, tokiriko intake, clutchmaster stage 3 clutch, aerospeed exaust are what i have engine wise cuz i just started. In the future i want to add spoon catback exaust, air to fuel controller, titanium pistons and rods, cam shaft, flywheel, limited slip differential, new engine sleeve, and intercooler can i add these things with a turbo or am i wasting my time.

Re: Please I Need Help With Turbo Info

if you want to learn...learn this:don't fucken ever say vtech. It is VTEC. Your car has higher than 10:1 compression right now. 8.5:1 is prolly the lowest you want to go. IF you go turbo, you need a new exhaust manifold (bye bye to headers) and a no intake (you are goin turbo). On the other stuff, depends how much compression/$$$ you want to go. Intercooler is good. Low comp pistons good (you need new rods though). Fuck the rest of it for now. downpipe and exhaust you can keep. Search through the forums.

For my homeboys here....2nite is my last nite in los angeles. I leave for my trip to miami tomorrow morning!!!! So exicted!!! Went to some bar w/ my roomies and it was liek Bulgarian culture nite.....pretty good shit I won't be around here till January 7th so be good everyone and wish me luck. I wish everyone a wonderful new years (i'll be in New orleans so you don't have to wish me one) PEACE...btw i am frunk as duck. SEBAS
