Got Schooled today

So i was talking with some friends today and a guy that I kinda know drives up in his new Civic... this is a 1992+ hatch. well guess what he managed to do... he Droped a 4g63T (mistu motor) in it.

He custom made motor mounts, spliced the wire harness and stuff... now this thing is NUTS! he does not have the speed sensor setup yet but he took me for a drive it breaks loose in 4th gear. he's runnin like 18psi of boost. This thing is CRAZY FAST.

I did not have my Digi cam with me so I did not get to take any pic but I'll try to get some up.

I spent as Much as he did for a b16a... to think i could have had this... damn !!!

a stock 4g63t = intercooled turbocharged dohc 16-valve 4-cylinder hp: 210 hp 6000 torque: 214 lbs./Ft. 3000 red line: 7000 compression ratio: 8.5:1

you can get the complete Motor and transmission for 1300$usd

210hp at stock boost and these will take quite a bit of boost.

makes sense to me.

You dont need to preach numbers to me. If you want that power, for that cheap, buy a dsm, or nissan.

I'm not preaching numbers... I just know that the 4g63T has huge potential and in a chassi like the 4th or 5th gen civic it makes for a winning combination. I don't know what your problem with the subject is this is a Very unique swap that has lots of Potential to become a stong and fast car.

maybe you got beaten by a 4g63T or it never told you it loved you... i don't know. But I do know this is not something you see everyday like B16's B18's B20' even H22's are gettin shal we say "old".

making a True Hybrid, taking and truly tuning his car.

I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with you Kris, I don't own the car and I'm not defending the car. I was just informing people about a new development I have seen in the field, you can choose to critisis it as you will, but don't try to get all high and mighty about something you don't like or understand because frankly I could care less what you think.

Now for those that DO care I will go see him again after the holidays to see if he will let me take a few pictures of the car. maybe with any luck he will expain to me how to do the swap (i don't thinK i need to mention welding skill will be required to make the custom motor mounts and one custom axle) along with the wirering nightmare.

I am not promising anything but will see what I can scrounge up.
