Engine Swap...

Would an SR20DET go into a mid to late '80's Sentra? What about the transmission? I know I would have to get the swap done professionally, but would it work without major modification? Would it just be cheaper to get an S12 200SX or S13 240 and do an SR20 swap? Let me know. Its just a crazy idea I had while dreaming at work today.
