my car has a lot of issues with power

my car really has some issues with power. i will accelorate and my car will bog down or chug. it feels like something is plugged. i have taken my car to a lot of places and nobody knows what is wrong with it. they have done diagnostics test and nothing has shown up. my check engine light doesn't come on at all. i have changed the fuel filter, plugs and wires, new manifold, took off catty converter, changed o2 sensor. I just don't know what to do and i was wondering if you could help me. Please!!

Hey Turbojohnny;
How about a bit more information. Turbo or non? How many miles does the car have on it? What shop(s) have you brought it to?

I can tell you that if you have a fair amount of mileage on the car, you may want to look into fuel injectors. How do your plugs look? A tell tale sign that your injectors need to be replaced is un even appearance from one cylinder to another, particulary if one or more cylinders appear to be burning leaner than the others. Before you do that though, I would have to ask, have you checked compression on all of your cylinders? You need to try to rule out all of the things that are obvious, and that you can check with basic shop tools before you can really pin point exactly what the problem is.

I'm just taking a few quick stabs at your problem as guesses. If you have done all of the above, plus ruled out vacuum leaks and have had your cylinder compression verified, my advice is to pull the plugs and check their appearance. If you have one or two cylinders where the plugs are white colored, compared to the others which are more gray colored, my bet is that your injectors are the problem. You can get remanufactured ones for about 60$ each from Beck Arnley.

Good Luck!

Mark
