1985 trans am won't start

Hello everyone,
I have a 1985 pontiac Tran Am with a 4-bbl 5.0 V8 with automatic trans. I'm getting gas and spark, but it does'nt want to start. I've replaced the oxygen sensor, plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor. I don't think it's a timing problem, but before it stopped running it was running poorly (valves clicking, not firing on all cylinders, etc.). It has an ECM 4-bbl Q jet with computerized distributer. Would the crank sensor keep it from running? Also, is the crank sensor, knock sensor, and crank positioning sensor all different names for the same thing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try checking the timing with a timing light. Also there could be points in the dist. but im not sure if they could cause that big of a problem if there's spark.
