tahoe

i've got a 99' chevy tahoe 2wd in great shape 65,000 miles this morning it cranks fine and then dies and will not even turnover. i don't know of any recalls for this or if it is common. any suggestions? new battery, etc. solenoid somewhere maybe? anyone? thanks
