Ok, to prevent more jackin' in the Headlights/HID thread... We'll try this:

It's illegal here too, but with 50% on the entire windshield you don't stand out too much. It's awesome when it's cloudy outside cuz you can hardly see into the car. The cops here mostly just look to see if you have your roll-downs tinted - they don't even look at the windshield unless you have a strip of tint across the top (or bottom like some people do).

I had all my windows tinted 30% with the entire windshield done in 50% until I got a $100 ticket for having my roll-down's tinted (damn ND state troopers ). So I ended up taking the tint off the roll-down's & keeping the windshield & back 3 windows tinted... I don't like the way it looks, but I like $100 tickets even less...

For me it's Limo black on the back three, 30-50% on the roll-downs, and stock except for the strip on the w-shield.

I loved it when all my windows were 30%. It's a nice in-between shade - not too dark - and I like the way the car looked with the windows being all one shade. One of these days I'm planning on getting the roll-downs retinted (back to 30%) since they just relaxed the tint law here.

Now the law is that you're only allowed to have 50% on the roll-down's, and any shade on the rear windows - as long as you have two outside mirrors...

That sounds about right for MD too...pretty much you can do anything you want with rear & rear/side windows as long as you have two mirrors. A lot of peeps have their roll-downs tinted pretty dark too..I think the cops are not real stringent on it here like they used to be

Do you ever have any distortion/visibility issues with tint on the windshield? I would assume you are using pretty high quality tint, to keep good visibility. I can't stand a dirty windshield I can't see clearly out of, especially with all these crazy bastards on the road doing stupid shit all the time.

Nope, no distortion/visibility issues whatsoever. The tint cuts a lot of the glare from the sun, oncoming headlights, etc... And yes, we definitely used high quality tint (SunGard <--w/ lifetime warranty against fading, peeling, etc...).

50% is probably the perfect shade for the windshield. I wouldn't go any darker, though I've seen plenty of cars that have. I think there would be safety issues - especially driving at night - if your windshield is too dark. Not to mention being a huge cop magnet

I remember that was the ONLY other car I had seen with those rims....I loved them....I got them and didnt keep them long....someone made an offer I could not refuse.....your car is still crazy looking....the paint sets it off since its so original.....not alot of people choose the gold/beige color scheme....I like it
