2.9 problems

when driving the engine would chug and buck constantly and continued to get worse. the prob seems to clear up when you floor the gas. originaly got a ing pu code and replaced the dist. the car was fine for a couple of weeks and the same thing started again but now usely between 45-55 mph.
also noticed that the lower radiator hose was clapsed when i got home i thought this was from flooring the pedal to keep the car going.also were is the crank senser on this engine. thanks"

Re: 2.9 problems

could be electrical,
often this is caused by spak plugs, plug leads, or one of the distributor parts, most electrical systems start to breakdown when faulty under pressure, so the faster you are going the more pressure the system will be under causing it to breakdown.
as far as i know the crank sensor is just behind the bottom pulley.
hope this helps
