Amp goes into protection durring HEAVY bass
When I really crank the volume, the amp will go into protection for a second or two after about 10 seconds of hard bass. I ran a meter on it while this happens and my voltage drops from 14.7v to 12.19v and maybe a little lower. I drive a 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport XLS. I think it has an 85 amp alternator.

Re: Amp goes into protection durring HEAVY bass
Your voltage is either dropping too low to support the amp, or the amp is overheating and going into thermal protection. Have you upgraded the big 3?
