My s10 Blazer will make a clunking noise, sort of metal to metal sound.
I've replaced upper control arm bushings, ball joints, all steering componets. The sound happens when I'm turning left, it is coming from under mid-car on the right side, seems like right under the passenger seat by the door. I've check for loose tail pipes...anything that might be knocking into something else and still i can't find anything. any help please would be much appreciated. |

If you have a 4wd there are 2 torsions bars that run under the truck. they connect to bushings about half way back. Change the bushings.
I hade the exact problem and that fixed it. Also when you get the new bushings the one that goes on the passenger side the mounting bolt is a little to long and has to be cut, at least that's what happend to me. |

Re: s10 blazer suspention clunks when turning left
Take a look at the front body mounts that offsset the body from the frame. They are pretty much under the front floor boards. They rust and collapse and I have seen a few with this problem. There should be several inches of offset, the problem can be hard to detect-compare to any S-10 vehicle.
This is a body shop fix (welding) and can range from $200 to $400. |

I had same problem with my 97 Olds Bravada and in this forum found a post back in I belive july that asked the same question and the reply was to tighten the left hand or drivers side hood hinge bolt, it is under the small plastic trim piece remove the trim and tighten the one bolt that holds the hinge to the fender. I tried this and it worked it sounds stupid but it was the best peice of advise I have ever gotten, Thanks to this forum.
