I think, Scarface, the Godfather, Schindlers List and This is Spinal Tap has to be some of the best flicks ever made..ohh and Taxi Driver

I think that most of the Marx Brothers' early films qualify so far as comedy is concerned. Billy Madison was great too (unlike most of Sandler's films that came after it)
