Red face I think this has to be the most radical swap I've seen...

Here's the car it's going into, nice :

And check out what's going in

http://www.uadmotorsports.co.uk/dyna...cts/civic.html

Is it possible, well it certainly won't be easy. I think I'll keep an eye on this one.

Ps. Anyone know what front bumper that is?

Dude, that's a buddy club, you should know that :smoker:

And he's either crazy, has alot of money or lots of mechanic friends. What, he's gonna make it RWD? I'll believe it when I see it.

Crazy! Will that V-12 even fit in the engine bay??
That would be one amazing Civic if the project gets completed ... whoa!

I don't think that thing will fit. I mean, where? How? Shit, the nose will have to be extended by how many inches or feet?

I'll be really amazed if they pull this off.

I doubt very much he's gonna be able to fit that engine in there. If he does that Civic's gonna go like a bat outta hell! Still, I say no chance. Oh well, keep us informed if you have news on the swap succeeding or not.

Is this an outdated page? I read a post over at SHO about a year and a half ago about a guy in LA driving a Civic with a Jaguar V12 underhood. The witness said it was ridiculous, the engine came into the cabin and was guarded with heat shields. But it supposedly sounded incredible with speed to match. I never saw any proof of this, but this could be the same deal.

I know its not a honda but it proves a point that anything is possible, this pic is of a 1965 5.3 litre Corvette 365hp V8 in a mini, half the motor is in the cab but its possible

to fit the V12 in the honda, he'll prolly have to sit in the back seat and drive from there, or he'll have to put it in the trunk and transverselly mount it.

Highly doubtful cause one of thier other project cars is a Puegot 206. And in thier classifieds they have Twingo's and other small european city cars for sale.

umm, it can be done....if anyone here remembers a civic, i think it was yellow....anyways the people made a completly new body for it, you couldnt tell it was a civic till you saw the inside...anyways why not just make a bigger engine bay for this engine, cut a hole in the hood, and make one mean ass drag racer!!!!?

I think it could be done, probably have to set the firewall back, and it might make the motor also sit closer up towards the radiator (cause its so long) which might give it weird handling... but it would most likely be very fast in a straight line... but just cause its a V12 dont mean dick, without turbos... its no fun, might as well save yourself about 2400 hours of frustration and just do a damn H22a swap
