Starter Car

Hello, ladies and gents.I am asking out of all of you on this forum. What, in your opinion, is the best car for a newbie racer to start out with.

1990-94 eclipse or talon 2.0 non-turbo

front wheel drive, decent power but not too much

Re: Starter Car

Well, in my opinion, the FC (turbo) IS the most power for dollar you can find. With simple mods, you can be in the upper ranges of 200 HP. HOWEVER, these cars are NOT for the mechanically un-inclined. They are cranky, prone to electrical gremlins, and do not take well to bad modding techniques.

I deffinately agree, those reasons being why I told him to go with an eclipse or talon, good for newbies, mechanically pretty sound, nice and quick, and if you do go with a turbo model, I believe they are AWD, atleast some of them, I don't know all the facts on them... but they will treat you good... then you could always upgrade to the FC TII after a year or two
