Re: suicide reverse lamborghini doors

Suicide reverse lambo doors? So they'll open upwards towards the rear or what? Definitly haven't seen that before, but I could think of a lot better things to spend $1000 on..

Re: suicide reverse lamborghini doors

what kind of car u got? cuz i got a accord 4 door 98 sedan. if id have like 2 Gs to spend, id mold the rear doors to make it look like a 2 door. this is the crazy part. totally shave off the top, so itll be convertible. THEN add gullwing doors. now one might say how is this possible. but then again, you dont know me personally. lol

Re: suicide reverse lamborghini doors

i have heard that the DIY lambo door kit at lambodoors.com is a great and cheap way to put lambo doors on your car, but i was wondering if anyone has tried it and if so what all kind of work goes into it? Is it more work than it's worth? Or is it farely easy for what you get and the money u save? Thx

Re: suicide reverse lamborghini doors

I don't think reversing it would look too good. There are some vans out there that have reverse door and I think they're ugly! I'd just stick with regular lambo doors and if you want something totally different, then you should add focus on maybe something else that could set your car apart from others. Maybe graphics or a pimp hydro kit

...and that four door Accord, I so wanna see it as a convertable! What if it's a big mistake though :P That Cavalier doesn't look too good as a convertable >_<

Well you cant have gullwing doors and a convertible because the doors mount to the roof in the case of a gullwing (ala delorean/back to the future). If you are talking scissor doors (lambo) then you can. My car is a hard top convertible, and I have done a direct bolt-on scissor door (lambo) conversion.

Here is what you are talking about

Check the side pictures of the doors. This is one of the tightest Escalades I have seen.

Re: suicide reverse lamborghini doors

would you guys seriously buy anything from "big rob"? . i rather buy shit from k-mart than deal with a wanker.

the reverse door does sound unique but how will you get in and out of the car?

Yeah, thats never been done for a reason. If you want originality with functionality, do a sliding door like a van's door. I've been telling alot of people about it, but no one seems to have the gonads to try it. Too many people talk the talk but dont walk the walk. If you're talking about a project with 2 suicide lambo doors, then this is will cost you the same if not less.. and its more functional. Go ahead and do it. I'm betting that you'll back out like everyone else.

LOL, I believe you're correct!

And if you do have it done, and its a big hit.. remember to give credit where credit is due... My "import sensei" and I had this idea many many years ago.
