Re: Ita
this might be what your looking for.. or at least it has an i and an a in its initials...there is somthing called the idle air..its on the outside of the throttle body just after the last hose clamp from the air filters large hose. un plug the sensor plug, remove the two torx head screws then carfully pull out the piece and you will see that there is a ball shaped thing on the end of it about the size of the eraser on a pencil all covered in carbon, clean it up and replace it without adjusting the length of it. dont damage the o ring. it should help the cars performance

Re: Ita
The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is a thermistor (a resistor which changes value based on the temperature of air entering the engine) mounted inside the fresh air intake and measures changes in the temperature of the air entering the engine.

Re: Ita
so I guess a air box mod would affect that

Re: Ita
Not sure really
The air box mod dos'nt require removal or unpluging the IAT and it is still in the same air flow to the engine. |

Re: Ita
We need more info on this subject. If it is still the same air flow to the engine then why do the air box mod? As for the idle control module thing, mine sits and goes click, click, click when I shut the car off. It is trying to push out the rod or something, and when I drive down the road I can here it vibrating, sounds like water running through a hose, but it is this thing doing something. I was getting bad gas mileage and surging so I took it to the Stealer and they said the fuel pressure regulator was fine, coils were fine. Said I needed fuel injector service, I had them do this for $160. I don't think the mpg has improved and the surging is still there. The surging is not intermittent, it is a oscillation (same amount of time between each surge) does anyone have any ideas (this is a 95 with 120,000 on it)
