Unhappy Cherokee 4.0 fuel leak

The fuel injectors on my 1990 Cherokee are spraying gas all over the place! I've replaced all the O rings, but it didn't help. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I think the O rings from the injectors to the fuel rail are what's leaking.

Re: Cherokee 4.0 fuel leak

I recently had a similar problem with my '88. I replaced all of the o-rings and still was still getting high on the fumes! It appeared to be leaking from the rail when in fact, a couple of the injectors were actually bad and were leaking from the pinhole near the top of the injector which is near the rail so as to give the illusion of leaking at the rail. A quick trip to my local u-pull it yard for a couple of replacement injectors and presto! No more fumes. Until the front seal on the transmission began leaking onto the exhaust! Good luck.

Angry Jerking

Does anyone know how to tell when your fuel pum is going out? I saw the thread about the injectors, which is what what's wrong with it also. I smel gas everytime i start it up(10 min). Then when I turn, it jerks and sometimes stalls out. HEEEELLLLPPPP!!!
