I have heard people talk about wiring up a 5G diz to a 4G civic, but keeping OBDzero. Has anyone done this? Is it really possible? Does anyone have pinouts on this? PLS let me know asap!!

Re: 5G distributor??
i've never heard of this. as far as i know you need to use the correct dizzy depending on what ecu your using.
such as 88-91 si dizzy for a pm6 or a 92-95 dizzy for a p28. im almost positive you need to stay in the certain OBD's

maybe your thinking of bolting on OBD0 dizzy's to OBD1 and OBD2 motors such as the a6 dizzy needs to be modified to fit the z6 but it directly bolts on to the y8
could this be what your talking about?

Re: 5G distributor??
Hey Josh, after you asked me about doing that, I decided to try it out. Yes, it works fine, as long as you get the wires in the correct pins. I just wired a OBDI dizzy, with the pre OBD plugs, and it ran in the car just fine.

Re: 5G distributor??
Did the colors match up, or did you get a wiring diagram, or what? Do you leave any wires out? I need specifics, cuz I'm not the sharpest tool in the whole durn shed...

it'll work. Just match up all of the wire colors. There are 2 white wires on the non-OBD distributor. The fat white wire gets connected to the yellow/green wire on the obd1 dizzy. The thin white wire goes to the white wire on the obd1 dizzy.
