recall reimbursment
help! my steering went out of my 1997 chevy monte carlo back in oct 2003 i had it towed to a auto shop who fixed it. then what do you know i get a recall letter on my car for the exact part that i had fixed i called gm they said send proof that i got the car fixed for the recall and i would get my money back. i did send my paperwork in on the work they said that i would get a reimbursment check. instead they sent me a denial letter because i did not go to a gm car dealership to have my car repaired what such bull. they said when ever a gm car breaks down you need to take it to the dealer to have it fixed bull crap. so my question is how can i make gm reimburse me my $678.00 i can not find any where is says about a gm dealer needs to always fix your car
