Connection between wipers and radio?

Recently tried to install a remote starter into my 1997 Malibu...then decided I didn't want it. So we took everything out. However, the wipers and radio will now not work. Is there any connection between the two or just a coincidence?

Re: Connection between wipers and radio?

My guess is that you either severed an ignition wire or blew a fuse somewhere. Remember that there are 2 fuse points in the car so check both. Why did you decide to pull out the remote start?

Talking

Was having a hard time getting the unit I had to work with the passlock security system, for some reason, even with the company's instructions the car would not stay running for more than 5 secconds. After I put everything back where it was I noticed the radio was unusable, no power except the lumination of the buttons, no request for a code or anything. Since I wasn't driving the car till recently I noticed that the wipers were not working, not even the sprayer. I have checked both the interior fuses and the ones located next to the strut and nothing was blown. The car runs great, no seccurity warnings or dash lights, and everything else works fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated greatly.
