Sales contract

I signed a sales contract at a dealer but I have not taken delivery of the car yet. After reviewing the contract at home I noticed a $389 charge for accessories that I did not ask for nor agree. I have not paid a penny at this point. Can I cancel the contract? My understanding is as long as I do not drive the car off the lot the contract is not binding. Is my understanding correct?

If you have not put any money on it your still safe. Sure there not going to be happy and tell you alot of bull. But theres noway there going to hold you to it. Your best deal will come from YOUR bank on the loan. Tell your bank what the total cost is on the car or what your willing to pay. Then get the paperwork from your bank saying you have the loan if you want it. Now go to the dealership with this paperwork and tell them thats what your paying for the car. Then the dealership cant screw you around with hidden fees. Tell the sales person they have a time line like ten or fifteen minn to ok the deal. If they dont make it walk away ASAP. If the offer is within reason they will run after you and take it. If not, There not the only game in town. PS yes I know what I am talking about here. I was a finance manager for a large dealership for many years.
