I'm glad I helped, because the result is stunning
I don't know how easy or difficult it is to adjust the model, but I think the front could be a little bit more round. I think you can see what I mean from this picture: Also the rear quarter window's bottom line sweeps upwards: ![]() Maybe the tail lights could be little bit bigger too: I don't want to sound critical but these details just caught my eye. When the whole model is so nice then some little things like these become more visible. I wish I had talent and time to try 3d modeling, it's a really interesting subject. Have you already thought what's your next 3d project? -Mikko |

That is stunning. Thank you for sharing. I know a lot of work went into that rendering.

What program do you use? 3D Studio Max?

Glad you liked it guys !
@mel79 - The Daytona on those photos sure looks softer around th edges ... can it be a car from later in the series ? because I have cheated some on mine ... I've used the shape of the early versions that had a big plexiglass covering the whole front( no pop-up lights .. they where all behind the plexi) but I have modelled it with pop-up lights ... and I think that the plexi-version had a sharper front ? My new project is a BMW M1 ... halfway through it allready @CADguy - Thank you ! @flying finn - Did it with alot of practice and patience, not that big difference from how you guys modell your cars ? .. tweaking every peice into near perfection @NortherntoucH - Yep, 3dsmax5.1 rendered with the Brazil Beta. Thanks again guys ! |

VERY nice work
I made a 3D model a while back but I've never been happy with the surface of the body
![]() What attributes did you use (I'm using LW, so may not be that useful) and is that a bitmap you're reflecting, or something more? Ben |

Im reflecting a HDR-image that's placed in the materials environment slot .. and reflecting a bunch of white boxes with self illumination.
