I hvae the oppurtunity to buy either a 2002 Impreza WRX, or a 2000 Integra Type-R. I can't decide which one to get, i know all of the pros/cons of each, but still can't decide. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I would go for the ITR. It's alot better than the WRX. The WRX isnt that impressive for 227HP because it's actually only 168WHP. My cousin has a 92 SiR HB with just intake and he can beat both the ITR and WRX. Im not really impressed with either car but if i had the choice i would go with the ITR.

I think both cars are equally good, but the WRX has faster 0-60 times, not by much. I believe hte ITR has 6.2 and the WRX has 5.8. and another thing, where would your cousin get an SiR hatchback stateside? theres no way that an SiR would beat an ITR either.

GET THE WRX!!!! simple tweaks and u can get mad horsepower from that turbo... and those bug eyed headlights can be changed too look sexy... lol... the sparco wrx is an example.... and wrx is all wheel drive... very nice for all around driving... but the itr is nice... depends on you man... it's all what you want not what others think...

SiR vs ITR
Well either the guy was an idiot driver or my cousins car is fast. We raced the ITR 3 times to see if he was really racing and he was...he said he was floorin it so i dunno.

I would go for the WRX, their aftermarket parts maybe expensive, but they make big gains, also I "think" its rarer to see modify WRX then ITR.

you guys have to be crazy for going for the ITR instead..i mean come'on...ITR might be a all motor mania...but hell it can never beat a turbo car on the drag race..but on the track if factory to factory with the WRX..
but hell..WRX are an totally different class car from the ITR.. WRX can get power so easily that half the amount of $$$ u spend to modify a ITR to get power out of it u could get 300hp+ out of the WRX..look at it this way..WRX has 3 cat's...imagie taking all of them off and putting a high performance single cat and any N! style or whatever u liek Japanese exhaust..and changing the intercooler into STi or from a second hand R34 Gt-R and front mount it and get a larger turbo and forge the internals and forged pistons and boost a little up and get a power FC or even better a Motec style ecu ..and a twin APEXi air fitler kit..and do u realise that u have just got a 12 sec car?!..well..low 13's easily.. those boxer engine i tell u..are just so easy to get power out of compared to an b series n/a motor.. i used to drive a jdm legecy GTB..and it's got a 280hp twin turbo engine which is acctually same as the WRX engine but with 2 smaller turbos..and i only changed the exhaust and got around 10-15hp out of it! so come'on..common sense.if u want power..get a WRx..if u want reliability and fuel economy..get the ITR.. |

I thought in Sport Compact Car's comparison the ITR edged the WRX in the 0-60 by like .1 second.
Anyway, i see WRX's all the time, lots of middle aged women have them. I saw one with two child seats in the back the other day. Stiil, that doesen't mean shit, the WRX is badass, no doubt, but its so freakin ugly! You have to think about what you want, for my immediate purposes, i must stick with my ex coupe. But if i had resources to pick between 00 ITR and 02 wrx, i'd go ITR. If i had kids to haul, i'd go WRX
